Mon, 9 April 2007 This week is a packed show. Dave talkes about his collaboration with Tony Butterworth from the: Home Made Hit Show. We have a guest segment about Band In A Box from Bill Mecca who is a voice over Talent and Sax Player. I do a couple of short segments, one on the use of Side Chains for Ducking and whatever the opposite of that is :-) and a segment on recording a blues track using a very basic Tascam HDD recorder with no effects or plugs other then those available in my guitar pedal and Phonic Mixer. We also discuss what I learnt working in a Professional Studio called Flying Fox Studios in Wagga Wagga. Andrew Comments[2] |
hey guys, show sounds great.
in regards to the firepod issue:
I have a firebox and i had a similar issue a while ago: i believe the problem may lie with the firewire hack on the computer itself, and not with the firepod. I tried mine on a different PC and now it works perfectly. Sometimes the stress of pushing and pulling out the cord can damage the jack and render it unuseable. I'd try the firepod with another pc before shipping it off to presonus, to see if that's the issue.
also, you guys mentioned doing more re-mixing a few shows back. you did one of my stuff a long time ago and it was pretty sweet, and now that i have a new project, i was wondering if you'd be interested in doing a re mix of that. are you interested? it's more electronic, like the Postal Service, and i write with a kid from Iowa i've never met. it's a great sound, and you might like it. i can email you an mp3 if you like.
keep up the great work, you make work more bearable!
